The World Day of Prayer March , 2024
Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, 11005 County Road M, Suring Wisconsin is hosting The World Day of Prayer on the first of March 2024 at 10:30 am. The theme for 2024 is from Ephesians Chapter 4 verses 1-7. This year’s program calls us to bear with each other in Love, despite all difficulties and oppression. The ecumenical Christian women of Palestine were asked several years ago to prepare this service for World Day of Prayer. There will be a light lunch to follow the service. The origins of World Day of Prayer date back to the 20th century when Christian women of the United States and Canada initiated a variety of Cooperative activities in support of women in mission at home in other parts of the world. The movement’s focus on ecumenism and reconciliation led to growth after World War II. Since 1927 the Day of Prayer in the month of March has been known as the World Day of Prayer.
