Kingdom Come Food Bank
Kingdom Come Food Pantry opened in the fall of 2005 serving the needs of nine households. Within six months of its opening, the pantry began opening every Tuesday so that clients could come weekly to shop for their households. Over the years the need for the food pantry has grown, and the pantry has grown to meet that need. Today the pantry serves as many as 200 families on a weekly basis each Tuesday between the hours of 10 am – 6 pm.
From the very beginning, the board had a mission to run the pantry in the same manner that Jesus would; therefore, all that come to them hungry, are fed. An average of thirty pounds of food is given to each family per visit. Clients register upon arrival at Kingdom Come and then are assisted as they shop for their household.
